Visited Harris Family Practice for kidney stones . The visit went well and I was satisfied until I got the bill for the lab work. "Medicare denied payment for some or all of the tests,indicating they were not medically necessary based on the diagnosis provided by my doctor. " If I had secondary insurance they would have also not paid since the claim was denied by Medicare. Now looking for a new primary physician that will look have my financial health as well as my physical health.
Just want to give a shout out Ashely Locklear at Urgent Care today. I have been in excruciating pain with my back all week. I went to my Primary care doctor earlier in the week, but as the week went on my back wasn't feeling any better. Decided I better get to Urgent Care and see if I could get some help. Needless to say from the triage nurse, the LPN, the xray tech, to the physician I was very well taken care of. I felt like they really cared about the pain I was having and knew I needed help. So my wife had to do a follow up to get a reference for a surgery. The surgery is a emergency surgery. So instead of them giving her the paperwork so she could gone n have her surgery they drug their feet stood around doing nothing and made her wait intill some one came back from lunch! A whole hour I wouldn't recommend this cluster to no one!
