Everyone was nice enough and it did not take long. Wait time was ok but the problem is, I went in to verify my identity, activate my account and get a card. They never activated my account so now I have to return to a branch and activate my account. I articulated to the teller all pertinent information and that my visit was to verify my identity, get a card and activate it and make sure the account was activated. I even asked before I left if the card and account were activated and the teller said "yes sir, both are active".... read more
After 3 months of trying to close my accounts and being blown off by multiple financial advisors I finally told them to just keep my money so I can close my accounts - they happily agreed to that. Insane. Lots of banks to choose from - skip Scotiabank.
Hours posted are wrong.
Hours posted online are NOT the hours posted on the door at this location. Teller hours are Mon - Fri, 10 am to 3 pm. They are CLOSED Sat & Sun. Hope this saves someone else a completely useless trip downtown on a Saturday!
I needed a replacement card and even though the tellers close at 3 and i came close to 4 they still accommodated me with no hesitation! Had such a quick and friendly experience
