About this business

Scoma's prepares some of the best seafood dishes on Fisherman's Wharf, which is no small feat considering the competition. The traditional dining room lets the food do the talking. The menu focuses on fresh seafood that is either sauteed or broiled. Enjoy Dungeness crab, prawns, scallops, calamari, abalone, swordfish, salmon, oysters and clams. House specialties include a spicy cioppino (seafood stew) and a filet mignon and lobster tail combo. The wine list is adequate, featuring domestic and imported wines.

I was on a road trip with friends seeing the grateful dead when I was 19 (24 years ago) and I've been dozens of times since. My favorite place to eat in San Francisco. Had my 43rd birthday dinner there with a big group of friends a couple nights before the Grateful Dead's 50 anniversary shows in Santa Clara. I love this restaurant!

Flew to California, from UK, for our honeymoon in December. Never eaten at such an amazing place. I'm no food snob but I have eaten in some top UK restaurants. Scoma's really tops the lot. Staff and atmosphere is something unique!! I wish you were in the harbour of my home town, Ipswich, as I am sure people would travel the length and breadth of the country to dine.

Great food and even better service. Calamari was perfectly cooked and the pasta and fish dishes were fresh and flavorful! Highly recommend

Fantastic, genuine place in a beautiful environment. The nicest personel. The food...well, I will dream about it for a long time. The baked oysters was very, very good. And, coming from Sweden, it was an extra bonus that the warm and welcoming owner spoke almost perfect norwegian. Simply one of the best food experiences I've ever had. Thank you/Tack så mycket!
