Scoma's prepares some of the best seafood dishes on Fisherman's Wharf, which is no small feat considering the competition. The traditional dining room lets the food do the talking. The menu focuses on fresh seafood that is either sauteed or broiled. Enjoy Dungeness crab, prawns, scallops, calamari, abalone, swordfish, salmon, oysters and clams. House specialties include a spicy cioppino (seafood stew) and a filet mignon and lobster tail combo. The wine list is adequate, featuring domestic and imported wines.

Portions were ridiculously small and over priced, I ordered a Caesar Salad that came out with 5 lettuce leaves and four croutons, the prawns in my prawn cocktail were limp and definitely not fresh, our waiter was rude, condescending and managed to serve at least two of our dishes with his thumb on the food! This must be a tourist trap as I couldn't see any discerning local accepting all of this as normal. From what we can see there are plenty of other places to choose from within a stones throw from this restaurant.
Really good, but no Corona,my husbands favorite beer!!
Food was delicious and our waiter was very attentive. Great views.
Great food and Bartender yesterday was awesome great experience.. Thanks
Everything was amazing. We waited at the bar, both bartenders were very nice and professional. Our server was awesome... I didn’t get his name, he was a tall, gray headed man. He helped me change an entre around, explained the menu in great detail. The food was wonderful! Several people recommended this restaurant as soon as they knew we were heading to San Francisco! My husband said “there’s nothing better than an Italian server helping you thru a menu!” IF you’re ever there... GO! Make a reservation ahead for no wait.
Came here for lunch without reservations after a hike. The food was typical Italian seafood restaurant in a tourist area. The clam chowder & sole were delicious. I ordered the lobster rissoto which is average. The view was amazing. The restaurant has the view of the Bay Bridge, San Francisco & colorful sailboats. I will not wait in line to go here. However if I get a table, why not?
We had our Guckenheimer Team GOAL Leadership Training Dinner here! Absolutely AMAZING! The Service, Ambiance, and Food were SPECTACULAR!! 👨🍳👏❤️😊 Thank you Scoma’s for your Superb Hospitality!!
