These chaps are simply outstanding! Stopped by en route to Detroit airport to fill a couple gaps on my way to JDR in Cuba and they had exactly what I needed. Corey was awesome as always, spooled a couple lines on my reels and had me out the door in short order. In my mind, none better at selection and service in MI. Now just hoping I can hold up my end of the bargain with a few keep ‘me wet grip and grins!
I can tell you 100 great things about this place and the guys but you are better off going in there for yourself. Take the classes, go to the Bar flies fly tying nights, book guide trips, check out demo days, ask questions and be ready to soak up a ton of knowledge from some great people. You will absolutely not be disappointed. Thanks for all you guys do!
I just ordered a half dozen Swingin' D 2.0s while I try to learn how to tie the pattern. The ones I ordered look so good they made me hungry. Plus, they arrived within a week. I wish I lived closer or they had a second location in Indianapolis! Love the content and products.
I don’t think I’ve been to a better fly shop than this one. They take great care of their customers - and always have a solid selection of women’s stuff which you don’t see every often in these shops. Schultzy and Corey have been beyond friendly - I don’t know if I’ll buy Simm’s gear from anyone else. Thanks guys!!
RecommendedAppreciated all the helpfulness and top notch hospitality yesterday at the season kick off event, for our first experience at the SO shop, and F3T was rad as well. Schultz went out of his way to answer any and all questions, and give product recommendations. Him and his crew have created a solid shop. Rachel Ann and I are looking forward to our guide trip in May.
Visited the shop for the first time today, after lots of online interaction and help, this well stocked, up north feeling yet very modern shop was the icing on the cake. Great help with flyline and no judgment (well. Maybe some lol) for the neglected state of the replaced line. Will definitely make the hour drive more often.
They have started me out in my fly fishing endeavours. I'm glad to have found them. The classes are well worth going to.
