Dr. Scholnicoff did not listen to the history and was seemingly disgruntled by the questions we were asking about the situation with my daughter as we're trying to determine what allergies she might have (per pediatrician's recommendation). When asked if she could perform a test of dietary allergens, she became brash and said that it's impossible for dietary allergens to present themselves with congestion, which is statistically false. Seeking a second opinion elsewhere.
This doctor is rigid and doesn’t appear comfortable explaining testing, treatment or alternatives.
I am appalled at this doctor. My son has been one of her pts for several yrs now. She REFUSED to see my son because he can’t wear a mask. He has ASTHMA! He can NOT breath through a mask! It was a regular 6 mo well-check, my son is NOT sick, has NO symptoms and I would be wearing my mask. How can you be a pediatric asthma doc and demand that one of your young ASTHMA patients wear a mask that inhibits their breathing? Then turn them away and not see them? She is a terrible, irresponsible, uncaring doctor. My young adult daught... read more
I will never return to see Dr. Scholnicoff. She did not want to hear anything I had to say. When telling her that I was having reactions to dairy, she basically told me that was impossible because I’m “not allergic to dairy”. She made me feel like I was making everything up. She even refused to listen to information my PCP had given me on my situation. Basically she didn’t want to hear concerns if they weren’t anaphylactic reactions. Dr. Scholnicoff is the worst doctor I have ever visited
Dr. S did not believe my daughter (20) regarding her allergies and implied that she was making her reactions up. She said that peanut allergy can’t be airborne- my daughter has had airborne reactions to peanuts with hives since she was 2. She acted annoyed but did skin test for sesame & said dime-sized welt wasn’t big enough to say she was allergic. Receptionist was eating granola bars at the desk. Patients were eating in the waiting room. When I mentioned it, Dr. seemed annoyed and ignored me.
She was impatient with my child and not very kind to me. She didn't offer any explanation for my child's discomfort, or offer any new possible solutions. I don't feel like she really listened to us and after being in the office for almost two hours, we left feeling very disappointed.
