Favorite menu items include: chicken fried steak, homemade sausage, fried chicken, schnitzel and of course pie. Everyone deserves pie - homemade buttermilk pie, coconut meringue pie, apple pie and chocolate meringue pie are as good as it gets!

Great home style cooking !
The buffet is large and has many good items. It has the largest piece of cheese I have ever seen on the buffet. Conveniently located with a partially shaded parking lot which every Texan knows is a luxury.
The food was good & it is family friendly. They have been in business for 40 yrs. We enjoy eating there every chance we get. The pies are really good.😊 If you are close by stop in to have a bite to eat. You won’t regret it.
Every time we pass thru Columbus we stop there for breakfast and the awsome buffet when we can. Bought a Buttermilk pie for the wife because she loves your pies and German dishes. Best pie's ever. Great service. compliments to the cooks.
Great food and very friendly staff
My family really enjoys dining at Schobel’s. Great food, noontime buffet or a variety of menu options, fresh salad bar and morning breakfast menu (our favorites are the French toast and pancakes). Friendly staff is a bonus. Can’t forget how delicious the pies are!
This is my most favorite restaurant on the entire planet. Any time I drive through town I try to eat here. We call it "The Big block of cheese" place.
By replacing the manager with someone who gives a flip! On a recent a visit, my sister and I were seated nextt ta a party of about 8 young children. the parents were too busy on their cell phones to control the kids. The kids were engaged in fist fights and food fights, as well as climbing on the chairs and tables. We asked to see the manager. He never showed up at our table.
