Love Schmidt Family BBQ. It is now firmly entrenched in my Sheehan Can Texas BBQ Trail Top 20. Everytime I visit...it just keeps getting better. Just love the post oak smoked brisket, tasty sausage and the spicy Mac N Cheese. Chad, Susie and the whole team are always so warm & welcoming. I'll be back soon to take on one of those monster beef ribs!
Great location and building. The people were pleasant. Unfortunately the brisket was horrible (chewy, greyish, flavorless and veiny) which is what all BBQ joints in Texas are judged by in my opinion. For that reason I can not recommend anyone go there...waste of money. Sadly, based on talking with others in the area, my experience with horrible brisket is a fairly common occurrence. I hope the owners are listening and will do something about it.
It's was OK needs more Smoke and beans 10 beans in my cup with a lot of other stuff....
