Best Eye Doctor in the State of New Mexico period. I recommend anyone who needs your eye's taken care of to go and visit Dr. Schauer and staff. Very professional and outgoing and very helpful.

So glad that Dr Schauer has only partially retired...I have been provided nothing but the greatest of care. His retirement might make it more difficult to get an appointment, but the detailed exams are well worth it. Have had a fairly long relationship as patient. Dr Schauer specializes in very difficult to fit contact lenses. He spends as much time as necessary to ensure patients have healthy eyes with the best possible vision.
Dr. Schauer has a gift for correcting vision. My glasses are perfect every time and I have very poor eyesight. I highly recommend his services... so much so that I pay out of pocket to see him since he doesn't take my insurance! He really is that good.

Have known Dr. Schauer for more than three decades. He is absolutely wonderful, as a doctor and as a person. All of his office staff is professional and friendly. Have recommended family and friends, and they continue to visit his offices.
The best eye dr in ABQ! Explains everything in terms you can understand..most definitely the knowledgeable in ABQ--better than any Ophthalmologist in ABQ!
