Nurse Malat in the emergency room (zone D?) was extremely helpful and kind, he made our family feel at ease and comfortable. Both attendings were wonderful as well, very patient, explained everything very well and made sure we understood everything that was happening. The team made the patient feel very comfortable, treated them with dignity, and were extremely thorough. Wait times were not ideal but that is somewhat out of their control.
Seeing a emergency doctor in here is an insane wait. There were only two patients next to me and me, but more staff than patients. I waited for 3.5 hours and didn't even see a doctor or nurse. Canada is really employing too many useless people—inefficient and unwilling to work. They work 15 minutes, then rest for 20 minutes and have coffee. No wonder I saw news reports of patients dying while waiting in the ER because they couldn't see a doctor. I just asked the people next to me, and they usually wait 7-10+ hours. Doctor and her team were chitchatting for one and half hour. It is really bad to call them doctors .
I recently had an emergency appendectomy at Birchmount Hospital, and it was the most professional and caring medical experience I’ve had in all my years in Canada. From the ER staff to the surgical team, the speed and attentiveness were world-class. Highly recommend this team for their incredible work and positive attitude!
I had a chest pain and went to Emergency on Friday night. Right after registration, nurse attended swiftly, did ECG, Doctor assessment and X-ray, all done within an hour. Thanks so much for attentive care!
