We made reservations for your special Valentine’s Day menu last night. I had the surf and turf (filet and scallops) it was excellent and perfect. Awesome service too!! I must say, The Sawmill has really impressed me the last few times I have been there to eat! Thank you and keep up the good work ���
Bar is fine, this review is about the restaurant. BBQ brisket was tough - cut with the grain instead of against it. Service was awful. Surly waitress didn't bother to check our table, didn't ask if I needed another drink even though my glass was empty when she brought the food, didn't even come back to ask if everything was alright. I had to flag her down for a check. It was one of the best evenings I’ve had at sawmill in a long time! The current group of staff are great, except our poor waitress was young and has gotta learn fake it till you make it. She was very somber and not very enthusiastic with the group. Just a little side conversation makes the wait staff more enjoyable and feel welcomed.
This was my first visit and I plan on returning. Headed on a new adventure. The food and service was great.
The food was great, it was during Birding Season and Hockey season and the waitresses kicked ass. I've been there before and it has improved a hundred percent and it's a really fun place to go I would just drive up to Virginia from Bloomington Minnesota just to go to that bar again.
