⭐️ 1 Star – ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LIVE HERE! I’ve lived at Savoy West Apartments for 5 years, and I can confidently say this is one of the worst-managed properties in Los Angeles. The carpets in the hallways are old, filthy, and smell like straight-up piss. It’s disgusting. The hot tub? Never works. Literally NEVER. Fire alarms go off like clockwork—almost every week—no one ever explains why. Five years of loyalty — and none of it mattered. I’ve lived here for over 5 years. Always paid rent on time. No issues, no delays. But when it came time to renew, I was locked out of the system completely — all because I’m self-employed. I provided real income proof. Valid check stubs. Documented history. But Nova Credit (their partner) doesn’t accept anything that falls outside rigid payroll norms. Instead of offering manual verification or a human review, they just canceled my application. No help. I love living here. The location is great, it’s super super quiet, I’ve never seen an insect, it has all the amenities I could want plus big closets, free parking, etc. The building design is a little outdated, but this is my favorite place I’ve ever lived.
Whatever you do, DO NOT RENT HERE. The majority of the tenants are awesome. While other's are a nuisance. For a good night's sleep I recommend ear plugs, white noise for one, since neighbors like to hit walls throughout the night. Calling manager is worthless since they do absolutely nothing about holding up your signed lease. Crystal Parks, the regional manager is one of the rudest persons to manage a complex.
