Strawberry shortcake! The Savannah Room has been a nice place to have student lunches with faculty, etc. --a little out of the way, not much on atmosphere (feels like a chain hotel), but quite nice food and an amazing strawberry shortcake that they have a great reputation for.
I propose a toast... A true hidden treasure, the Savannah Room is hidden within the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. A bit pricier at dinner, but you can find an amazing deal on elegant dining during the lunch hours. I've never understood why its tables aren't full at every meal. The food is perfect, satisfying, plentiful, beautifully presented... and cheap at lunch!!! Even the servers, mostly UGA students, are very pleasant and friendly. Cheers to the Savannah Room!
