While walking in the park today with a friend and her 2 year old grand daughter we all witnessed a horrific site. A dog was let off leash to attack and kill an animal, either a ground hog or rabbit. It was shaking it violently. When I asked why the dog wasn't on a leash We were told it was "pest management". What a traumatic event for a two year old to have to witness not to mention the fear and confusion we experienced not knowing if the dog may turn and attack us. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! the upkeep of the picnic areas is ridiculous!! We came here for Father's Day and set up in area near Creek & playground...there was trash left by others from day before, shoes & socks left in grass, & grass was not mowed, overgrown....the nearest bathroom directly across from us was run-down and closed...they built a new facility at another parking area...we have to actually drive to that spot to pee....I haven't been here in 15 yrs, usually go to Moreau State Park on exit 17...never have I ever had an is... read more
Def a great place to take the whole family, some can fish, some can go for a walker or run and others can just sit and enjoy all the beautiful nature. Definitely will be coming back
The bike trail is confusing You get turned around in the park easily
