Dr. Denolf is always kind!
I had been told there were options for local anesthesia and I was told there would be a nitrous gas for pain control. When I got to the appointment she explained what she would be doing and began a pelvic exam. I thought there would be time before the IUD was inserted as no anesthesia was given. Instead there was little to no warning or preparation and it hurt very much. I ended up passing out and throwing up due to the sensation.
