This was our 6th visit to Santiago’s Bodega, and somehow it keeps getting better every time. We came with four friends and decided to order nearly everything on the menu—probably 95% of it—and every single dish was outstanding. Santiago's Bodega ended up being one of our favorite stops in Key West. It's an easy walk from Ridley House, and if we'd discovered it earlier in the trip, we definitely would have gone back more than once. In fact, happy hour is already on the list for our next visit. The biggest issue with this place is deciding what to order. There are so many fantastic tapas options, my wife and I are still battling over what we think was the best.
I'm really getting tired of restaurants that prepare stuff before and flash fry to serve it and everything comes out greasy out of a fryer. It seemed like everything we ordered from brussel sprouts to short ribs was deep fried or as they say, flash fried before serving. It's unhealthy and unnecessary if you have chefs in the kitchen, not line cooks.
Excellent service in a great atmosphere. Cozy and more upscale than most dining options in the area. Fantastic tapas. My favorite was the short ribs and we enjoyed everything we had (almost the whole menu.)
