The emergency room service is SEVERELY lacking. Arrived @ 3pm and got blood and X-rays done in 30 mins. Asked about getting an update and was told “they are taking you back based on arrival and severity” I was here for post surgical complications and left with no updates for more than 2 hours. I could’ve made it to the main hospital if the service was going to be this bad. Don’t come here unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. The emergency room was empty when I arrived and filled before I left.
I just received the hospital bill for my annual check-up from 9 months ago. (This is in addition to the bill of over $300 for the medical group.) They charged me $168 for the flu and covid vaccine and an additional $32 to give me the shots. And $157 for the "clinic." Needless to say, I will be getting my vaccinations from Walgreens in the future.
UNM SRMC, I am amazed as I read your reviews from previous patients (positive experience or not), none of them get a response from your team. Seems like some had an outstanding experience, many with long wait times, several saw excessive billing after care, and more than usual unpleasant interactions with staff. Customer satisfaction is very important!
