Well, right off the bat the location is a bit sketchy but we’ve not had any issues. The front desk staff was super helpful and responsive. There are stairs for the main entrance, just a heads up. Then more stairs to the rooms (no elevator). Basic rooms, no frills. Great for a stopover.

Good if you’re looking for a simple place with clean bed for a stopover night. The room was very clean but definitely needs some renovations.

I booked a room here and was shocked to find out upon arrival that the building has no elevator. Nowhere on the website does it disclose this, which is a major accessibility issue. I arrived with my elderly father and it was impossible for him to climb three flights of stairs. For a large hotel brand like Sandman, failing to disclose this is unacceptable. This hotel was a disappointment. The location is not safe or secure. Very poor and cheap; not a great place for kids and families. Walking in, there was a smell of smoking and weed all around, including in the hotel hallways and rooms (even though it is specifically written "no smoking and smoke-free environment"). The rooms smelled awful and we had to be relocated twice for a better room. Eduardo (spelling unsure) checked us in, efficiently and politely. He did warn us that there were issues in the area with the unhoused and to have nothing in the vehicle. Our room was spotlessly clean and the AC was welcomed. It is older and could do with updates but for one night even two it was well worth it. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.
