We had a medical emergency that brought us from Texas to Victoria BC. The Sandman Hotel staff made it as easy as possible for us. They were so kind and worked hard to get us the rooms, rate, and check out times we needed. First was Jon who was there to help on multiple occasions. I only remember one other name-- Katy, but every person at the desk was nothing but courteous and friendly and helpful. Thank you. You made a huge difference for us.

I had a flat tire while staying at the Sandman for a work trip, and Matthew from maintenance went completely above and beyond to help me get my spare tire on and back on the road. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and a true gentleman; he genuinely saved my morning! The front desk was lovely and helpful as well. Thank you so much, Sandman Hotel and Matthew!

Decent hotel with good amenities. Both the beds were saggy and was not comfortable. I haven't stayed in a hotel in the recent past and maybe this is the current standards. Another issue relates to the air circulation, the room had two sections, that the only way the front section had any cooling or heating was from the AC that the end of the room. The pool was good & had secured basement parking too. The staff were nice and kind. Overall the price paid for a 3/4-star seemed too steep for the provided basic features.
