Thanks to Ore who was a helpful and warm presence and was able to make some last minute changes for us! The rooms are clean and spacious. Pool area was ok! Suggestions for hotel: biscotti! Hahah ;) and maybe a new hot tub upgrade. But honestly, this was a great experience and they are trying hard to make it one. Building a new Denny’s in the hotel complex which will help. Thank you! Absolutely Disgusting and Unacceptable Experience at Sandman Hotel Victoria We traveled all the way from Vancouver to Victoria with our kids for a family vacation. We had a confirmed reservation and everything was planned around this booking. We arrived at NIGHT, with children, tired from travel — only to be told at the front desk that they had “oversold” the hotel and there was no room available for us. No room. No backup plan. Walking distance to downtown(10-15 min), they allow pets, and have pool/hot tub. If you have to stay longer there is also coin laundry available
