Dr. Merritt (and hubby) a HUGE thank-you for the quick response, the after hours care and the on-going communication and follow-up! After those horrible seizures Wednesday we were really afraid that we were going to lose Chuey or that he would be impaired. I've brought Titus here twice to get checked when he was ill and to get him neutered. The ladies in the front assured me he was in good hands. They called after the procedure was done to let me know everything went well and he was ready to go home in a couple hours. Sadly, his stitches opened so I called and they told me to bring him in right away even though they were closing.

Dr. Merritt saved our little baby! Our shihtzu was having major bloody poops (hemorrhagic gastroenteritis HGE). After a few days in the animal hospital, two blood transfusions, and tons of antibiotics, Dr. Merritt was able to revive her! We can't thank her enough. She took such great care of our dog we have been telling everyone about the San Benito Animal hospital. Highly recommended!

I took my puppy there who had seizures, everyone was attentive, and patient even when I wasn't the best to them, but they were just trying to let me know what procedures they had to follow. I would go there again and again, and twice on Sunday. They saved Pearls life!
Love Dr Merritt; she truly has a heart for the animals. My labs adore her; even my cats like her (which is saying a lot!) Getting an appt is never a problem and I love that she's open on Sundays! Makes working 40+ hours a week and taking care of all my babies so much easier!!
I took my Jerry there after he was hit by a car... They wouldn't do anything until I paid a deposit. NOTHING! They wouldn't bring him in, look at him... Nothing. When I asked about payments, she handed me a frickin pamphlet to apply for pet credit... And still wouldn't see my dog. I paid and then it took them 5 minutes to get someone to bring him in. They don't care about animals. All they cared about was money. My baby had to be put down. After having to endure a drive there and then having to deal with that horrible person... read more

We are sorry about your experience in the lobby. We had multiple emergencies at once. Also, it is hospital policy to obtain deposits from clients we have never seen before because we have had them walk out on the bill. We are not government funded. We are sorry for your loss.
