Several years ago I stumbled upon this place and I could not be more grateful. The seafood is always fresh and the selection is vast. I found Grouper here last weekend when no one in the city had it. All claimed it was too expensive to carry in store. Samuel's had it and it was fresh. I found cold water lobster tails for $5 so I bought four. Perfect on the grill with a ribeye. This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. The service was absolutely terrible, and the staff were extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I went in to purchase fresh seafood, and the employee assisting us said he would weigh our order and bring it to the register. After waiting over 10 minutes with no update, I had to ask the cashier what was going on. She pretended to check, came back, and completely ignored the situation instead of addressing it. The best seafood market in Philadelphia! Super fresh fish, huge diversity and very competitive prices. On top of that, very friendly and knowledgeable staff (Manager John is the best !).
