Went in for an assessment of shoulder injury. I was asked whether I wanted a steroid shot or an MRI? One is a treatment and the other is for diagnosis. Not much information given on why I was asked that question. I had to ask questions about benefits of one over the other. I was asked to make a decision but no one could tell me if my insurance covered the MRI. I chose the injection.
DR. Koo repaired my left Rotator Cuff in October 2020. The surgery went very well and I was impressed with my subsequent visits with his physicians assistant as she monitered my recovery and quided my PT.. I would highly recommend Dr Koo and his staff to anyone requiring shoulder surgery
Dr Koo replaced my right shoulder a little over a year ago. I held back on my review until I had full recovery to be sure all was well. My shoulder now is at full strength with 100% motion and no pain. I can throw a football, do pushups, chinups (not as many as when I was 60) and climb trees (I limbed two 60 footers three months ago) with confidence. DR Koo was a great surgeon. He new my needs and took care of the problem. Along with Claudia, they helped me through a tough time. Both are appreciated and I would recommend them...
They are prompt for every visit, I feel the care I receive is excellent.
Left shoulder total replacement about 1 year ago, some discomfort for the first 2-3 weeks, afterwards, no issues. would say 90+ % recovery and pretty much full mobility.
Dr. Koo and his staff are knowledgeable and caring regarding their field and patients. My shoulder surgery and all pre and post op appointments have been positive. I would not hesitate to refer their practice.
Dr Koo was recommended by a relative who is a doctor at Evergreen as one of the best ortho docs available. I have not been disappointed. My rotator cuff tear was relatively severe and the journey has been long, but the progress has been steady. Based on my progress so far, I am optimistic that I will be fully recovered in a few months. His whole staff has been excellent as well. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Koo has repaired the rotator cuffs on both my shoulders. He is an amazing shoulder surgeon and his care team is just awesome. My right shoulder has held up wonderfully for 7 years, and my left shoulder is healing perfectly and starting to build strength. Soon I will have my 2 strong shoulders back, all thanks to Dr. Koo and his team!
