Although this location on the border of the Pike/Pine and Capitol Hill neighborhoods is not the original Sam's, it still remains true to its roots by serving gourmet burgers, crispy fries and tasty beers just as it did when it opened in the 1940s. Since the place considers itself a tavern, visitors will find a nice cocktail menu as well and on Tuesdays, it is a great place for trivia night.

The food was amazing!! My boyfriend and I went here for a quick lunch on a Thursday afternoon and our waitress (sorry don't remember her name) was awesome really attentive and helpful but above all the food was phenomenal this is our new favorite spot.
Food was fantastic and our waitress was even better. Definitely going back to try more of the food

Great spot all around. If you see the owner James, order him his favorite drink, the "Large Pini". He will return the favor as he is a generous man who buys Girl Scout cookies by the truck load. Five stars
