Although this location on the border of the Pike/Pine and Capitol Hill neighborhoods is not the original Sam's, it still remains true to its roots by serving gourmet burgers, crispy fries and tasty beers just as it did when it opened in the 1940s. Since the place considers itself a tavern, visitors will find a nice cocktail menu as well and on Tuesdays, it is a great place for trivia night.

My first time ever going since I moved to Seattle. I will be returning, they have fun there.
I really liked coming to Sams both in Seattle and Redmond. While watching the Seahawks game, I learned that Sams now allows minors in their Tavern. Very disappointing. With tables of kids in here, how is this different than Red Robin? Will need to find another place that's as good as Sams used to be...
Very rude customer service. They took out candle from our table without even asking and gave it to their friends over the next booth. The bartender dude didn't even say a thing just reached out his dirty hands across the table and our food. Not to mention how slow service is and how greasy their food is. Table was also not even wiped. Seattle people are becoming more rare. This city used to be very friendly and now it's full of California transplants who think they are a big deal. Don't think I'll ever come back.
