Professionalism at its best – I found Sam and Anna because they accept the UFT optical voucher for nycdoe teachers. Not many places take the voucher, so I was thrilled to know Sam and Anna do. They have a great selection of both eyeglasses and sunglasses. The best part of the experience was meeting both Sam and Anna. They are kind and patient and skilled at what they do. Impeccable Service – I found Sam & Anna online through searches for locally owned and operated (not huge chain-store) optical stores. Sam helped me personally and the service he provided was incredibly patient and thoughtful. There is a huge selection of frames here from very utilitarian everyday-wear to unusual-looking high-end european items. I thought the prices were more than fair and I definitely recommend this store to anyone who needs a prescription filled or some special shades.

ABSOLUTELY RELIABLE – For at least 10 years I've bought eyeglasses from Sam and Anna Optics, where the highly professional service is friendly and attentive. Anna is always helpful and patient with my sometimes lengthy process of selecting new frames. Shopping at this independent, family-run business is a refreshing change from buying eyeglasses at a chain-store where salespeople seem eager to get to the next customer, and don't recognize you, just your credit card. amazing selection and service on UWS – Have been going to Sam and Anna's for years--they have a huge selection of the latest frames (many of which I don't see elsewhere), great taste in frames, and the patience to help you select the best pair for your face. Very satisfied with my most recent pair of glasses--Sam guided me to a pretty Lafont frame that is ideal for my prescription; the frame looks like it's edged with lace filigree, plus it's light, comfortable, easy to wear. Expect compliments!

Outstanding Optics! – My favorite all-time glasses are from Sam & Anna Optics because I don't feel as if I'm wearing glasses. The frames are very light and the progressive lenses have been made so I see near, far, and middle distances perfectly. I get compliments all the time about my glasses but I'm happiest about the way I see when I wear them. They have an amazing selection of frames and will work with you closely and for long as it takes to find the right pair and fit. I would give Sam and Anna's six stars if possible!

Second to None – Meet Sam. He takes order, check measurement, grind lenses and fit (perfectly). If this is not a full service, I don't know what is. He is by far the best technician I''ve ever met. Three weeks ago I bought a pair glasses at warehouse place thinking saving some money. Boy did I disappointed! My doctor said prescription was filled right, but I've had this unthinkable discomfort. Terrific Store! – I searched all around Manhattan for Silhouette frames, which I wanted, and nobody has a larger selection than this store. Prices are very good, but service in fitting, etc. is even better. I also bought non-Silhouette frames and was very happy. I like to support good neighborhood places, but went outside of my neighborhood to shop here, it was that good for me. If you don't care about your glasses, you can go anywhere.
