Fun atmosphere. Will be returning soon. The Korean short ribs were delicious, and the duck confit flatbread was a delight!
I love when I have guests come visit Newport from out of town - I show off by taking them to Salvation Cafe! What a great meal... from our Stella Artois cidre $2 special (DELISH!!) to my Pad Thai (always good) to my bro-in-law's salmon with crispy spinach and jasmin rice, and my sis' lobster "salad" we were in hog heaven! Luckily I got to keep the leftovers! My guests LOVED it!
Fabulous dinner- steak was cooked perfectly and very flavorful! Drinks and dessert to cap off a wonderful evening. Service was friendly and efficient.
We love this place!! We've been coming here for over 20 years! 'Back in the Day', their furniture came from The Salvation Army Store that used to be their neighbor. The decor is still eclectic and interesting. From the bar out front, to the Tiki Bar outside in the back of the building, Salvation Cafe is great! If you don't know what to have, try the Pad Thai. It comes with shrimp, chicken, or tofu....... sooo yummy! I had mine with the Coconut Mojito. Perfect! Everything is delicious here!
The calamari was the best and we really enjoyed our meal and the staff! Cannot wait to come back.
Great food! A nice local place to get away from touristy Thames Street.
