A couple months ago, I backed up all my files (pictures, videos, documents, music) to an external hard drive my dad bought a while back. I had to factory reset my HP since it wasn't working well. About a week ago, I went to retrieve all of the files only to have my computer tell me I couldn't access the files unless I formatted the drive. My computer is less frequently able to recognize when I plug it in and I'm not sure what I can do to get the hundreds of thousands of pictures off before I lose them for good. I have an old [Hitachi] Travel Star laptop hard-drive (30GB, manufactured 09/2003) that just died on me. The drive was used for external storage purposes only and originally was part of an IBM T23 laptop setup (also dead). It was making clicking sounds and now won't let Windows XP recognize the drive contents. I need computer data recovery. Thanks to salvage data. They helped me out.
However, I'm very intrigued to know the reason why drive manufacturers don't offer official data recovery for their own products. I think the logical thing to do would be to specialise in their own drives recovery service. I am very irritated when my computer is running very slow due to over load of data, somehow I have lost my all data then Salvage Data helped me out.
