It's a relaxed, minimalist vibe with pleasant staff and a delicious menu presented beautifully. It's the opposite of pretentious. It feels fancy but comfortable. Nice but not so nice that you need to wear uncomfortably dressy clothing. I had the Texas reddish with a beautiful stacked caress salad. The rice was laced with jalapeño and the burn was just right.
