Barry McGarva is a Scizzer Wizard! I met Barry a few weeks ago when I stopped in the salon in desperate need of a bang trim. He could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I came back yesterday for a much needed full cut. Barry not only took the time to ask what I was looking for in a hair style - but he LISTENED and delivered a great, low maintenance and cute as all giddy-up cut! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Laura, the owner, and Barry are both amazing, friendly and artistic people. Was referred there by one of my girlfriend's, whose hair always looks great. Stopped in while I was in the area and was able to discuss what I wanted and see what they could do since it has been quite a while since I had anything done to my hair. What a wonderful, relaxing place to get a haircut. Both Barry and Laura are so kind and really work hard to make Saltlight different from your typical, chaotic salon. The space itself is beautiful and artistic, which fits in nicely with the local coffee shops and bookstores in the area. Prices are very reasonable; I didn't think I could afford such a lovely haircut on a graduate student budget. Will definitely be returning and spreading the word about this gem!
I am fairly new to the area and hadn't found a new person to do my hair. I found Saltlight Salon since it was so close to my house. I saw Barry and he was amazing! I showed him a picture of the kind of cut I wanted and he was able to give me the perfect cut. I went in with hair down my back and walked out with a super cute and fun bob! I love the fun, easy, and light style! I will definitely go back to Barry when I'm ready for a touch up!
