Located directly inside the Salt Lake City Public Library our shop provides a great cup of coffee wether your picking up books, attending one of the library's frequent events or hunkering down to study. good place – free internet if you have an airport laptop, lots of tables, sometimes live jazz music, plus they carry Japanese green tea-- genmiaicha is the best!
Nothing special – Better than Starbucks, but really nothing special. I thought $4.50 for an ice blended mocha was a bit high too....
Real mugs,real coffee,real froth on a cap – When you can smell the coffee roasting from 4 blocks away in the city you already know how good the coffee is going to be. As if things can't get better, just try the food. You can find your next french press or espresso cups here too. Everything you need. I love this Coffee House.
A bi-level coffee house and cafe that has been keeping Salt Lakers wired since 1981. – The Scene The spacious cafe is a popular hangout for students and downtown businesspeople. Too Light – SL Roasting Co's coffee is very very light and can only be taken out of the cafe in a 7 Eleven Styrofoam cup. As a Seattle Native I was disappointed to find such a quick tacky fix for a drink that has become an art.
Me Gusta mucho! – Its basic and direct to the point; coffee and a slice of a pie or flan. The setting is nice and lots of students head there for studying and socializing, although I think the lights are a bit dim. The service is incredible; beautiful courtes smiles all over the counter and everybody knows what to do exactly. A hint for guys; a good place to meet women and if you bring in a date there after dinner, she'll like it. Splendid – SLRC's coffee is of the highest quality. Hard to beat anywhere in the US or Europe. Custom roasts and hand selected estate beans set it appart from the masses. Coffee is not the only decadence they have to offer. Their cakes and pasteries are devine. My wife and I especially like to sit down to a fruit flan and a cup of the daily special. Caffeine Variety – SLRC is a great place to study, read or just kick back and people watch. The variety of coffee is incredible, and the refills are cheap too. I would definitely reccommend SLRC to anybody who truly enjoys coffee and would like to try some interesting blends.
Great Food! Hard chairs! – I love the food at Salt Lake Roasting Company. I don't even drink coffee, but I love to go there for dinner - there's always something new on the menu. Don't be afraid to try one of their unique dishes because you'll be pleasantly surprised. It also has good coffee shop ambiance and would be a great place to stick around and read or study - unfortunatley, their chairs are so uncomfortable that I can never stay very long! Also, I think they're beautiful desserts are not as tasty as they look.
