While I think the salon and great and majority of my service went well, the stylist had missed our original appointment and cut my hair too short. It’s to the point where I got my hair professionally done a week later and asked me what happened to my hair. I didn’t realize how choppy the cut was until I had left. My toner and conditioning was great, but the stylist did not pay attention to my hair during the cut at all. I am finding so many uneven pieces that I had to go elsewhere to fix it.

I have been going to this salon for over 7 years and the service, stylists, and owner are amazing. I"m so happy with my hair every time - I receive both color and cut services. This is a hidden gem in Jersey City near Hamilton Park. I could not more highly recommend Salon X to everyone in the area if you want beautiful, shiny healthy hair every time.

Mere is amazing!! I’ve been coming here for the past 5 years for partial balayage highlights and haircuts, and Mere nails the color and cut every single time. She is so professional and really listens to what you want; I trust her 100%. The owner, Lori, is warm and welcoming, and the whole staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re there. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem!!
