I'm writing this review because I feel an obligation to warn other women. DO NOT get your hair cut by JUSTINE if you have long hair. I had merely asked for a bit of face framing, but she sneakily used thinning shears all throughout my very long, healthy hair. She’s not a good stylist and doesn’t care about her customers. I moved to Toronto from Brazil almost 6 years ago and have cut my hair twice, because of the bad experiences I had. I have curly 3B type of hair, and apparently people here are not very used to it. Even went once to a very expensive curl salon, but they would only cut my hair dry, which I don’t like. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. I asked for warm summer blonde highlights that were natural looking, not chunky. I did say I didn't want the highlights to be yellow or orange, and maybe that's where things went downhill? I'm not sure. Not only did I get cold WHITE highlights, but there are huge chunks and gaps between highlights. The look is not warm or summery, and it was poorly done. No attention in the small details. My fiancé just returned from the salon in tears. The ladies who did her hair colouring job did not follow her instructions whatsoever. My fiancé simply wanted honey blonde highlights. Instead, she got platinum. They did not miss the mark by a couple of shades, but rather went the total opposite of what she wanted. Rather than listening to the customer, they decided to go with what they believe to be on trend. Suffice it to say, I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone looking to have their hair coloured.
Had an amazing experience with Simone, he is a master of his craft and a great knowledgable conversationalist. I will be going to Scavo exclusively after being a client of another salon. I have never had a better experience where I felt so engaged with my stylist. Amazing addition to the crew this man is
