Come Only if you want to be Fabulous – I've been coming to Salon 135 for many years now and the place has only gotten better. Their location is bright and sunny and super clean. The people are wonderful: highly skilled and fun to be around. I get 2-color highlights and many layered cuts and I always feel like a million bucks when I leave.

My Fave Salon – Alan Corpus has been my stylist for years now, and continues to deliver a meticulously-executed, flattering cut each and every time. I regularly receive compliments from strangers about my hair. I have recommended Salon 135 to several acquaintances, who have all been happy with their experiences. I travel to Chapel Hill from Durham every four weeks - 80 minutes round trip through crazy campus traffic. I wouldn't devote this valuable time if my cut--and my experience at Salon 135--wasn't worth it!

great people, fun location – located on Franklin Street, Salon 135 is a Chapel Hill institution. I've been going for years and have always gotten a good cut or color. Sylists really care about what YOU want, how much time you want to spend doing your hair and your type of hair.

Best stylists ARE still there – I drive from another city just to have my hair done here. I've had cuts in NYC and Chicago that were not as good as Alan's.

Great Service and Oustanding Knowledge – I arrived to this Salon without an appointment and they did all that they could to squeeze me in with the next stylists available. Did I forget to mention that they wanted to know my preference in stylist (male or female) but it did not matter to me. Alan was able to sqeeze me into his schedule. Awesome!!! – I am shocked as well at the negative reviews! I don't think we can be talking about the same place! I have been going to Johnnathan for years now and I am always so impressed by the way he can tell me what is going to look best on my facial structure and he always makes me happy. He's so creative and my hair always looks great. I didn't even know I had curly hair before I started going to him! never a bad cut / color – honestly, i am shocked reading these other reviews and wonder if they went to salon 135. i've had an appt there every 6 weeks for 10 years without ever encountering this type of atmosphere. do not let the casual nature of the place fool you - these are professional stylists who do their job very well. I get both cut and color to difficult to manage hair and have never been unhappy. One of the best things, in my opinion, is that they will not let you do something that will look horrible. Sick hairdresser, and very upsetting disclosure of another client's secrets – I am an extremely tolerant person; it takes a lot to rustle my feathers at businesses. I have never had a worse salon experience in my life. It was my first visit before going to Chicago for a wedding, and I wanted a simple trim. like a factory – The staff is horrible. They spend more time flirting with each other than they do cutting hair. I think the owner really pushes the stylist to see as many people as they can in an hour. You really feel rushed. not very clean.
