Editorial fromThis is the spin-off and next-door neighbor of Pasadena favorite Saladang (song means two) which offers a more interesting menu than the first. Like the original restaurant, the design has a bit of an industrial feel, with exposed ducts…

Malasian Thai I'm not from Pasadena, but I work there often. Recently I met up with a friend who is a vegetarian, while staying in Pasadena. Saladang Song was recommended heavily by people at work - and by Insider Pages network friends. The Saladang Song was a great choice because there were both vegetarian and non- vegentarian and fortunately he loves hot-hot Thai food. The food was fantastic - and the portions were large. The only thing that was a disappointment was the vegetarian appetizer sampler, which was sort of bland... read more
Midori's Envy Saladang Song is a great restaurant - the difference between Saladang Song (south) vs Saladang (north) is (1) the outdoor dining area at Song is quite stunning in the evening, and (2) apparently Song's dishes are a bit more authentic Thai than Saladang. Not only is the ambiance great, but the food is excellent and they have plenty of vegetarian options. I had the Midori's Envy w/Tofu which was the perfect vegetable dish. The Papaya salad was quite good too. Service was great but we went when it was not too crow... read more
Saladang SONG great food, great atmosphere but plan on making reservations and plan on arriving early for your reservations to find parking. the waiters and hosts are so accommodating and friendly. it was very refreshing all around.
Best. Thai. Ever. This place is awesome. I've been here several times now and every time I'm amazed at how good the value is. Their food and the atmosphere are both excellent. My new thing is their ginger tea. It's amazing. So is their Thai iced tea, but let's be honest--Thai tea is good anywhere. My advice--don't get the coconut ice cream and sweet rice dessert--it's good, but it costs as much as their entrees!
Best Thai food. I always get the beef panang and when it's in season - the sticky rice and mango for dessert.
Awsome, unique Thai food Excellent, excellent food! Romantic atmosphere - great place to take a date. I especially like the spicy poo-goong tom ga-ti (crab, shrimp, ginger, onion and chili in coconut milk). Not like the average Thai restaurant - innovative & modern. Delicious!
Awesome Thai food, cool decor. Sizzling beef rocks.
Superstar Thai Restaurant in Pasadena As a Thai, I frequently recommend Saladang to anybody who asks me where to get a good Thai food in Pasadena. Saladang offers yummy fusion Thai-American cuisine. Restaurant is very clean, staff is very efficient and friendly, sometime it gets crowded though but it is worth it.
This is some of the best Thai food around. The menu is a bit hard to read, but the food is delicious. One of my favorites is the Pad Thai, which comes wrapped in egg and is filled with noodles, shrimp, tofu and chicken. It's delicious. The atmosphere on the patio is beautiful. The restaurant itself is a nice surprise from what you see driving by - it's a well-kept treasure.
