I have called the patient advocate for three straight days explaining my frustration with having to wait for an hour and a half for an x-ray when I was older. It was a simple walk-in. I’ve never heard back. An apology is certainly needed at this point both for how I was treated in the x-ray department and how I’m being treated by this so-called advocate who hasn’t returned my phone call in three days. I am a dog with a bone. Not give up this issue, so my next phone calls will be for the patient advocate’s boss. These people ... read more
My sister was admitted Sunday and diagnosed with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. She was placed on heparin drip and admitted for pain control due to severe headache. So mainly, she required good pain control at least every 4 hours. I am a nurse and it is just not that difficult to give the medication, follow up to see if was effective and then 3 1/2 hours later give pain meds again to keep pain under control. There's good and bad here. They saved my life and I'm never going to complain about that! So the medical care and treatment is top notch, but some of the services need a bit if work. The food system is not set up well at all. I've been here on and off for about a year for various surgeries and treatment, and while it is getting better- the system needs work. Expect to wait for food and have it show up cold due to staffing issues. so order something that won't congeal and you'll probably be fine. No a huge fan of some of the ... read more
