This store really need to be shut down. The customer services is horrible and not enough cashiers
I try my best to not patronize this store due to so many issues. There is never enough employees to service the customers. Almost everyone seems frustrated due long lines or a issue with the register. Nothing has been done by Safeway now according to the staff hours are being cut really
All I can say is awful. Leadership is non caring and not effective. Bad customer service, etc. Update 2.24.17 @ 6 pm no cashiers, long lines.
I would like to know when in the world did this Safeway ever get 5 stars, it had to be long before Facebook was even thought about. That place is horrific. Long lines very minimal cashiers and even on a good day the cashiers are not pleasant. Management has shown on several occasions they just don't care. I don't like that store I will not patronize the store I don't even own a vehicle and I refuse to go to the store and that's the closest store to me. I'd rather spend extra money to go elsewhere.
Actually this Safeway is beyond poor! This Safeway is one of two in a predominately African-American part of town so I don't know that makes a difference but the Safeway sure is different than other parts of DC. This store deserves zero stars. The lines are long due to only 2-3 registers open at any given time. Healthy items cost more at this Safeway then others in the city. The store is outdated and has too many people loitering in the front of the store, which is suprising given the number security guards employed by the store. The people of this community deserve better and Safeway should be ashamed for operating a store at that serves so many people at this unsatisfactory level. I was there yesterday and it was crowded and today they was crowded again they need more lines open it don't make any sense
