I had the unfortunate and disastrous experience of getting my hair braided in Senegalese twists at this shop. The owner was present when I expressed my desire to have twists that are a bit bigger and she proceeded to explain how that size of twists won't last as long, maybe 2-3 weeks. I didn't believe her because I have seen many Black women rock medium to large Senegalese twists and I highly doubt they paid such a huge price for braids that don't last long. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this horrid place. I have never been to a dirtier place in my life. I believe the main "stylist" lives on the couch in the squalid conditions of the shop. Looked like a vacuum has never been used anywhere. A second woman, who spoke better English, showed up to help the non-English speaking stylist. She was downright evil. Insisted that money be paid upfront. What beauty salon does that?? This place is HORRIBLE. I called to schedule an appointment and I was quoted one price. Soon as I get into the shop they did not even say hello. They told me my hair was too long and too soft for that price and needed to charge me more. They processed to put the smock on me and smelled as if it was never washed.
