The corporate office of S&S need to come revamp this nasty place. I tried to order from the take out side but grew impatient. Decided to go inside and order and just leave because my son was home with his grandmother. I started by getting melted jello and the lady told me it is so hot in here, but if I take it home and put it in the fridge it will be ok. So then I see an eyelash on it. I gave it back to her. I have eaten at S&S since the early 80's. Raised my children on the .99 meals. Healthy and plenty of variety. Something for everyone. The waiters, waitresses and the cooks are like one big family. The atmosphere is comfortable and low key...just like home. They have the best iced tea and desserts! They have catered many of my Thanksgiving meals. The taste and the price outrank all others. My favorite spot.
It was the worst place I ever went to when I walked it there was dead flys on the window sill then the mac and cheese was horrible there was no season in it whatsoever the baked chicken was nasty string bean were not good either the restaurant was horrible staff was not good either I will not be coming back very disappointed �
Outstanding!!. My dad and I enjoyed our meal. Everything was just right. Looking forward to going back.
Let me just say this...IT WAS ALL GOOD! I definitely got my fat girl on with 2 desserts and no shame. The oxtails were meaty and tender and well seasoned with rice over gravy, collard greens on point and mac n cheese the cheesiest with a roll that literally melted in my mouth. That fresh made from scratch lemon merignue pie and that buttery crust on that sweet peach cobbler with the best lemonade to wash it all. Always a good time I just hate it keep missing my chicken pot pie the food is seasoned perfectly so the only thing I might add is some hot sauce. I been coming here since I was 7 I'm 32 now and the food still taste the same.
The food is always good and the desserts are to die for(peach cobbler, sweet potato pie) somebody's grandma is cooking. Service is always pleasant. They definitely need to remodel and upgrade the appearance.
Always run out of food and the lines stay out the door caise of slow service
