My steak was perfect, which is why I go to a steakhouse. Service was good, as well. Good for a special event.

very disappointed – A fiend took me there for birthday luncheon-I had called 3 days ahead to check on their menu- hostess told me they had salmon and sea bass as fish entrees- I asked her to double check they had these for lunch- when we arrived no sea bass- told me they only serve this evening meals-the waiter left all the dirty dishes on the table in between servings and finally when I asked if he would please bring me a coffee cup to share my friends carafe of coffee he forgot-food was mediocre-Sean Hannity praises this place-boy is he mistaken

Good Steaks, BAD Ice Tea, Poor Value, Atlanta has better choices – I dined at the downtown Ruth Chris steakhouse (located in an Embassy Suites Hotel) on November 10, 2008. After ordering an Ice Tea, I noted a chemical after taste. I inquired of our waiter if the Ice Tea was brewed and he advised that it was "from a box." I have dined in a Ruth Chris in South Florida that did not serve fake/instant tea. I was shocked to lear that rather than taking the time to brew Ice Tea, would use boxed syrup/concentrate. I think Ruth Chris founder, Ruth Fertel would turn over in her grave if she knew one of her franchisees in the South was serving "boxed" tea. Would Ruth Chris serve instant coffee? This Ruth Chris has a lobster tank so the lobster is fresh, if they are going to serve fake tea why not just put some frozen lobster in the microwave. If Ruth Chris can have an espresso machine to make cappuccino brewing fresh ice tea should be within their skill set. I concur with Zagat's survey which gives higher marks to national chain competitors, Mortons and The Capital Grille as well as Atlanta favorite Bone. When it comes to $35.00 steaks with no side dishes, Atlanta has much better choices than Ruth Chris. Even Outback brews fresh Ice Tea.

Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides. – In Short This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.

Worth the wait! – For years I have wanted to try the infamous Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. My experience was worth the wait. We started in the bar for a cocktail and the bartender was very welcoming and poured a generous drink. We were promptly seated at our reservation time and our waitress had excellent attention to detail. I started with the wedge salad and was pleased with the preparation. For main course, I tried the Petite Filet and Shrimp. The filet was medium, exactly how requested. The shrimp were huge Gulf Shrimp and were very fresh. I was delighted. Overall, the dining experience was excellent for food, service and atmosphere.

Classic American Steakhouse – Nice location by Centennial Park, Profesional sevice,Outdoor terrace, large portions, ask for the full wine list - and if you order by the glass check what you are brought...... expect to pay $75 + per person.

Just another average (and pricy) restaurant... – We went here with a group of 15 people, the service was poor, and the food tasted (for the most part) like it came out of a box. EVERY person's steak had to be sent back because it was undercooked, and the scalloped potatoes tasted like those ones that you pour out of the box and just add milk. I think it took about an hour to get our food.

Excellent Legendary New Orleans Steakhouse! Great Creole/Cajun Sides! – Thank goodness, Downtown Atlanta dining is slowly, but surely making a comeback. And this outpost of the legendary Ruth Fertel's New Orleans Steakhouse, does not let us down. Located directly across from CNN Center, in the Embassy Suites Hotel, it gives all the new tourists some place to dine, rather than going all the way to Buckhead. The filets, on sizzling platters w/butter are superb. The creamed lyonnaise potatoes are terrific. New Orleans seafood is available also. Start with the extra spicy jumbo shrimp cocktail. Any steak can be prepaired with asparagus, crabcakes, and Bernaise Sauce, on top. If you can walk back to your room at the beautifully expanded Omni Hotel across the street. We are locals, and just love to go to Downtown Atlanta, for one of the top steakhouses in the country. Service and wine pairings are tops.
