There's just something about balmy summer days at the beach, camping in the great outdoors and plenty of sunshine that makes ice cream an absolute necessity of life. In 1969, Charles (Buck) Redding, an engineer by trade, recognized a business opportunity and began construction of an ice cream shop on the northern edge of the Muskegon State Park Campground. We visit Ruth Ann's on a regular basis. I travel a lot for work and always seem to end up at an ice cream shop somewhere, but Ruth Ann's is by far my favorite. The new owner and staff are very friendly. They even added to their menu this year. Even their grass around the building is looking the best it has in years. Great job to your maintenance crew!!
Business response:

Our family has been camping here and enjoying Ruth Ann's Ice Cream for 20 years, and now I get to bring my daughters here Service and ice cream has always been outstanding! Look forward to it every year!!!
Business response:
Thank you, Stephanie! So happy to be part of your family's traditions! See you again next year!
Showed up an hour before the website said they closed. Employees were closing up because of the rain.. which had just begun. When we asked they said they were closed because of the rain. We left. We won't bother coming back.
Business response:
Sorry about the inconvenience, John. We had a cell just offshore producing some impressive cloud to ground lightning, we can't have people standing in our parking lot in any danger of death. Selling a few more ice cream cones 40 minutes before closing is not worth the danger. Sorry again, it was not just rain, I hope you understand. Ruth Ann's Ice Cream.
We love to make Ruth Ann's a stop every summer! Amazing ice cream which seems to taste even better after a bike ride from Pioneer Park! Excited for the opening!
Very friendly staff & great tasting ice cream nice atmosphere
