Dr. Gura is an amazing doctor. He’s caring, patient, takes his time with you and actually listens. He has helped me with medical issues that no one else has been able to help with. Dr. Gura is the only internist I will ever consider seeing. The wait time is always minimal.
I have been seeing Dr. GURA for about three years or perhaps longer. This year I have been disappointed twice. I asked for appointment for check up because I have not been feeling well a couple of months ago, I get to my appointment only to be told by Dr. Gura that an appointment with him for a check up take 6 months to book it. I booked an appointment for August, was called back to tell me that appointment was canceled because he is going on vacation. Went to see Doc Gura for an issue an issue and he prescripts an a cream, no blood work. After a few weeks condition got worse, went elsewhere and doc ordered blood work and then an MRI for what is causing the issue. When I informed him what Dr. Gura did he just rolled his eyes in amazement that didn't even bother to order blood work to see what is underline issue.
Dr. Gura is a patient doctor and seems up on the latest methods of treating health issues. I have a problem with getting test results and contacting doctor when calling office. Also, I have had problems with doctor's office calling in prescriptions that need well written prior authorization - they are some what sloppy.
