I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Birdwell. He is very personable and makes you feel comfortable. Surgery and recovery were a breeze. His office staff is just as amazing as he is. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Birdwell drew on his vast experience to repair my hernia without pain or complications. The office staff was helpful and courteous and answered all my insurance questions. I recommend them unreservedly.
Dr Birdwell repaired three hernias for me (two ventral & one umbilici) and was informative, kind, and had the best bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a surgeon who is both talented and cares!

One evening I ended up having appendicitis and Dr Birdwell was the attending surgeon at Richardson Methodist. He was very caring and thorough during our hospital chats, and my subsequent follow up appointment at his clinic. The visit was efficient (in and out in 30 min), the staff were all polite and professional, and the suites themselves were very clean and .. beautiful? I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Dr Birdwell for other procedures.
Dr. Birdwell was attentive, patient and informative. He took time to answer my questions, explain my diagnosis and walk me through next steps. I felt comfortable asking him all my questions.
