Words would not suffice to how good this Doctor is, excellent people skills to go along with his surgical skills. He may not be a Master at it now, but Surely headed in that direction. Rare today in cookie cutter Doctors...only after the money!
Dr Birdwell is the best. I first met him in 2017 at BSW Garland Hospital with severe diverticulitis resulting in the removal of part of my colon. I was not looking forward to a colostomy bag, and he did everything possible to make sure that did not happen. I ended up in 2022 having to have hernia repair surgery not once but twice for 2 seperate types, and his office and associates took wonderful care of me. Dr. B and the staff were so friendly and personable. Dr. B's calm and laid back demeanor made it easy to talk about my issues, and he has a special way to assure you he's going to make everything better...and he did just that!
Dr. Birdwell explains everything in a way you can understand without over explaining. He is very kind and super comforting. I will always recommend him!!

Dr. birdwell did my laparoscopic cholecystectomy. He has an amazing bedside manner. He was very forgiving with my weird sense of humor in my nervousness before surgery. He did an excellent job of explaining things to me and instilling me with confidence before the procedure. He left me feeling both informed and supported. The entire process has been incredible. Smooth. The office made everything easy. And Dr. Birdwell certainly kept me at ease the entire time. And post recovery has been great. I was dreading this surgery. But Dr. Birdwell did a great job and I'll recommend him every time.

I had to have my gallbladder out at 6 weeks postpartum. Dr. Birdwell is amazing. He is very attentive and kind. Very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable during both of my visits. I would highly recommend Dr. Birdwell!
