Amazing customer service. We came in not really knowing anything about equipment or shoes and we left with lots of great info. The prices are extremely reasonable too. Would recommend. I'm sure we will only shop Running Ect. for all our running needs!!
My rigid later feet making running and sometimes walking long distances a huge pain, my ankles are literally throbing after a long workout in average running shoes. For years i couldnt find shoes that gave me painless support, these guys measured and looked over my feet and gave me the shoes I needed now I can run for an hour without any pain post workout. If you're looking to taking running seriously don'the go anywhere else. The staff is friendly and very helpful ... just went back too buy my second pair :)
Even if you're not a "runner", don't waste any more time or money at a department store. These people know what they're doing, what they're selling and how to fit you properly. It's not even more expensive. Pop in and let the experts show you around. Thank you Todd!
I came in last week with my brother to buy shoes, and started talking to Mike about my heel pain that has been torturing me for 6 months. After taking his suggestions about rolling out the bottom of my foot and wearing the new tennis shoes he recommended, my heel pain is 95% better. Thank you so much for taking so much time with me! Best customer service ever!!!!

Just had the best experience at the Ghent location! Walter was so friendly when he helped me purchase my beloved Brooks Adrenalines. Even though I knew exactly what I wanted, he displayed all of the color choices for me to choose from. In addition to Walter's great service and conversation, the Pre posters and mag covers reminded me of my hometown of Portland. I'll still choose a local running store over buying off Amazon or online. Overall a great experience.
Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable staff helped fit me for new shoes and even offered some gear advise for my upcoming race. I also appreciated that they were very patient with my two small children running amok in the store (it is a running store, after all!) and I loved that they even had baby gates for the stairs. I'll be sporting my Running, Etc. shirt in the Falmouth Road Race next month!
The salesperson found me the right shoe - no more knee pain! The staff spends a lot of time with each customer to ensure the best fit, and although I'm new to running and not one of those skinny graceful people that glisten instead of sweat like you see in all the ads and magazines, the store's environment was very welcoming and helped put me at ease.
Customer since 2004. Best customer service has earned my business for as long as I can pound the pavement.
