Worst Mexican Food EVER! We were in Milwaukee this week and decided to try Rudy's for lunch. I had the tortilla soup, it arrived cold, looked old, and it tasted like old salsa and chips, stomach acid and a can of Campbells Tomato soup. It was inedible. My husband had the taco special - which looked normal (aside from the lack of cheese... I thought cheese was standard on tacos, but Rudys charges 75 cents for a cup of cheese). I would NEVER go back there again! While dining at Rudy's Mexican Restaurant, my companion bit into a METAL SPRING which was in the Chicken Burrito. The spring was about the size of a small spring insert from a mechanical pen. Upon reporting this to the server, she got the manager who was very NONCHALANT about the situation. He proceeded to take the metal spring in a napkin and walk away. Good food, good service. Rudy's is one of our favorite places to go after a downtown show. They serve great nachos - try both the chicken and the beef - and prices are reasonable. Our children love the micro-brewed root beer, too. Service has been very good each time we've been there.
Loved this place when we were in Milwaukee last fall. Definitely not Taco Bell. True Authentic Mexican.
