The "moist" beef brisket I had was awesome, no sauce needed! And watching the kids playing out back made my dinner even more enjoyable. They should be free to run, play & giggle :)
Never been to the place but had to go there for a party treat . The place had a welcoming ambiance like an old country side joint pack with locals . I could not believe how awesome the food is until I've taste it especially the ribs and the beef strip . The sauce itself is very tasty, unbelievable ...
If Rudy's was outside of Texas, it would warrant 5 stars but in Texas and especially in Austin it's "just OK." Don't get me wrong the "spicy chopped" mix was very good; the sausage was tasty and the brisket was OK, but unfortunately for Rudy's I have to compare it with other place in and around Austin that are far better. I still enjoyed it though.
This is always one of my stops when I'm in town, it's good consistent BBQ
