My worst haircut in over a decade I asked for a trim - just an 1/8 inch off. I got a new style, much shorter and not one I like. Nothing was said by the stylist that she wasn't capable of doing my regular cut. Thank havens they aren't surgeons. With time, it will grow back out so I can go somewhere else and I can wear a stocking cap in the mean time.
Great New Stylist -- Angela Chan Angela Chan is sorely missed by her Sacramento clients. She comes up with new and clever styles for even her most conservative clients. She keeps you out of the hair rut and keeps you away from dated looking style. I wish Portland was closer.
Stylists Stay A While That review about the Rudy's manager is vile, ridiculous, and tacky. If what they claim is the truth then why is there such a LOW stylist overturn? The majority of stylists working at Rudy's have been there since both Portland shops opened. She must be doing something right! Sounds like the nasty review was nothing but a personal slander.....childish and cowardly to post something so demeaning on this site.
Best Barbershop Ever! I visited Rudy's for a cut a couple times in Seattle, before they opened up shop in Portland. I was so happy to see them expand south. And years later, I'm still happy. I've taken our two-year-old to Rudy's for his first two haircuts. And it was a wonderful experience. Rudy's is tops.
I'll never go anywhere else... I absolutely hate getting my hair cut. As I guy with thick curly and sometimes unruly hair, I tend to postpone getting a trim rather than have my hair butchered. That is, until I found Rudy's. I had previously tried Bishops on Hawthorne and found them wildly inconsistent with the quality of their cuts. VINNIE ROCKS! Awesome atmosphere, friendly! I go to Vinnie at Rudy's Barbershop every three to four months. He has been cutting and dying my hair for 3 years now! He does an awesome job and always gives me the results I am looking for. Always knows what I want. He is funny and very easy to talk to. The staff is very friendly. They carry awesome, professional products for your hair. They are a funky-cool environment and great music. Love it! Ask for Ryann, she's the best!! I got the best haircut I've ever had in my life today by Ryann at Rudy's on Division. She was friendly, easy to talk with, and really took her time to make sure I was happy with the end product. She was also very informative, but not pushy with buying hair products. I must admit the customer service and the cuts I usually get here have just been mediocre, but I was more than pleasantly surprised with my experience today. You'll walk out feeling like you just got a $100 haircut.
Rudy's in the Pearl Rules! Rudy's Barber Shop also has a Pearl District __cpLocation ( 212 NW 13th Ave. - 503.525.2900 ) I've tried them all... old school barbers, even Bishops (the worst haircut I EVER got - I think the "barbers" are drinking that awful beer they serve!) I finaly went to Rudy's in the pearl and got the perfect haircut. They actually listen to you when they ask you what you want - and do it exactly they way you asked. Hacks I had the worst experience ever at Rudy's. The customer service was terrible. What's up with the attitude? The hair cut was ok, but the color? I've could of did a better job with a box color from the store. I don't reccomend going there at all.
