Dr. Rubin is an amazing doctor and surgeon. Explains everything and treats his patients with respect and thoughtfulness. I felt well cared for from the moment I called for an appt all the way through my post op care!
Terrible communication at Dr. Rubin’s office and doctor and his assistant were not informing me if they received my MRI reports and what are the next steps. He didn’t want to take any criticism of his office and he asked me to find another doctor. Thanks to him I found the most wonderful orthopedic surgeon to treat my issues. I hope his office has improved their communication practices.
Dr. Rubin performed emergency surgery on my wrist after I shattered it as a result of a slip and fall on black ice. I now have a plate and 10 screws in my arm, but I DON’T have any residual pain, loss of use or noticeable scarring. I cannot recommend Dr. Rubin highly enough.
I had an Ankle Fusion on March 12. The operation was a complete success. I can't say enough about the personal care I received from Dr. Rubin and his staff. I still have a long way to go before I'm back 100% but I am 65 years old and I feel that I'm recovering very well for a man my age.
I would send anyone who need a hip replacement to him. He a very caring person, he changed my live 100%

Although Dr. Rubin specializes in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery, I had a lot of confidence in him performing hip replacement surgery on my 71 year old husband. Dr. Rubin and his staff were compassionate and thorough at addressing our concerns. Dr. Rubin did an excellent job with my husband's surgery; he followed up with my husband while he was still in the hospital; and he stayed in communication 24/7 via text, which is important to us. We look forward to having Dr. Rubin as our Surgeon again
I had a total knee replacement performed by Dr. Rubin in September 2017. Dr. Rubin and his assistant, Jilian were very supportive. I am grateful to Dr. Rubin and his assistant Jilian. Dr. Rubin is an excellent orthopedic surgeon that I would recommend to anyone. His assistant Jilian handled all my disability paperwork flawlessly so I could keep getting paid while off from work. I can recommend Dr. Rubin's practice and their professionalism without any reservation whatsoever. Thank you so much.
After calling around all of the Sacramento area for two days looking for an appointment for my daughter, Dr. Rubin was available to see us the next day. Being highly recommended by our pediatrician, we were extremely happy that Dr. Rubin made time for our daughter. The bonus was his assistant, Jillian. She had great bedside manner and is amazing! If you are looking for a good Orthopedic doctor, you cannot go wrong with this duo!!
