This unassuming sushi place is probably one of the best in the neighborhood.The inexpensive, expertly prepared sushi is what draws the crowds. Americanized recipes with interesting local twists, a meal here will never be boring. No alcohol is served here, only serious sushi. Do drop in and try some Lomi Lomi Salmon Maki, the traditional sushi with a Hawaiian flourish or unakyu, the fresh water eel, if you're feeling adventurous!

Bad food and bad service – I don't think a restaurant that has bad customer service deserves customers. I had bad tuna rolls there and told the sushi chef about it. He got angry and told me since I ordered them, I must eat them. I guess he was the manager of the restaurant too with a huge temper so no one really stood up for me. However, waitstaffs later came to me behind his back and apologize to me....but what good is that? I never went back again.
Servers need to DROp the attitude! – Go to the Midtown location where the servers and management are glad to see you, greet you when you come in the door and don't act like they're doing you a favor by having to explain something on the menu.
Got sick! BEWARE!!! – Got sick - BEWARE!!! I wanted to share this information to all and please feel free to forward this to your loved ones. I got sick from eating at Ru Sans Buckhead, a couple weeks ago, and a week later, a friend did, too, in a separate incident. I called the restaurant to notify them, and they were fairly rude and dismissed me. I reported them to the Fulton County Board of Health, where they opened a claim to investigate. AWFUL SERVICE! – Run, don't walk away from this restaurant! The service is horrible, rushing you through the expansive menu and then making loud sighs when you ask for another minute to make your choice. The last time I was there, the server spilled hot tea on my thigh, said he was going to get a napkin and never came back. Even though this is much closer to my house, i travel the extra distance to the Midtown/edgewood location for much better service!
Midtown location is THE BEST--AVOID BUCKHEAD LOCATION – Midtown Rusans is FANTASTIC!!! Service is always excellent--sushi chefs are very friendly and accomodating. I recommend sitting at the bar so you get the cucumber and soy sauce appetizer--DELICIOUS. The service was atrocious! And the food was sub-par. – I frequent the RuSan's on Moreland Ave on a weekly basis so I thought I was aware of the level of service that a RuSan's had to offer. I was sadly mistaken at the location at 3365 Piedmont. All the waiters were in a fog, almost unaware that they were AT WORK. BAD BAD sushi – My husband and I love RuSans in midtown and thought we would try the lunch buffet up in Buckhead. Big mistake. Service was non-existent. We were seated at a table that was filthy and unclean (the place wasn't too busy so there were other tables) and we refused to sit and had to wait and wait and wait for someone to come and wipe the table. Rude! Unprofessional! Never again – Wow, I have been going to Rusan's locations for 7 years and have never experienced the Rudeness, nor the quality of service and food I did at this location. I had been dining at this location for 3 years and noticed the quality drop across the board. I chose to ignore due to low prices and habit of going there every other week. Lame servers – My first dining experience at the Ru San's in Buckhead was last night (Friday 05/11/07). I have been to the other locations and have been satisfied with my experience.
