ILLEGAL UNIT! rented an apartment from them just 6 months ago,they assured me everything was fine,one day the city inspector came and told me my apartment was illegal and has not ever been registerd with the city of los angeles,of course i know my rights and will take them to court for their false actions of renting me an illegal unit,stay away from this company!
RST * Harasses Single Female TENANTS!!! I've been renting for 8 yrs now and RST is Awful.BEWARE!!! Slumlords to say the least. They promise to do maintnance and NEVER do, then tell you its been done while the water leak and mold are still there. I am a renter from RST & Associates and they do not treat their customers with much respect. My property manager doesn't hardly ever answers her phone and never returns my calls. When I moved into my studio apartment, the refrigerator and stove that I was promised was not there. After much complaining, they finally put in a stove, but I had to purchase my own fridge.
I would highly recommend avoiding or being extremely wary... After renting an apartment that was under RST & Associates' management for a year, I can now say that my experiences with RST & Associates were unsatisfactory, to say the least. The resident apartment manager of my building was impossible to communicate with. Not only did he lie to me, but he was extremely rude and shouted at me on numerous occasions. Report this company to Los Angeles Housing Dept. If you are having problems with the manner with this company and they do not response to request for maintenance. there is a govt agency where you can make the report. RST cannot evict you because you file a complain with Los Angeles Department of Housing. Their number is (213) 252-2800.
